Richard Albert

Born and raised in Canada, is the William Stamps Farish Professor in Law and Professor of Government at the University of Texas at Austin. He has authored over twenty books on the study of constitutionalism, including “Constitutional Amendments: Making, Breaking, and Changing Constitutions” (Oxford University Press 2019), and has been appointed to the visiting faculty at Yale University, the University of Toronto, FGV Direito SP in Brazil, the Externado University of Colombia, the Interdisciplinary Center in Israel, and the Universidad de Especialidades Espíritu Santo in Ecuador. A graduate of Yale, Oxford and Harvard, he is a former law clerk to the Chief Justice of Canada.
